Inheritance Law and Property Succession

Together we will work out a plan reflecting what is important to you. Our notaries have the right instruments to draw up according to your wishes a will, an inheritance contract or a transfer of assets during your lifetime, with or without reservation of rights, such as a right of residence. For simple as well as for complicated family situations.

Family Law

Prenuptial and divorce agreements – and similar agreements between unmarried partners – are now more important than ever. They are the right tools for couples who want to take precautions in case their relationship unexpectedly falls apart or when this occurs would like to avoid disputes. In the absence of such agreements, the financial and family issues in question will have to be settled in possibly protracted and exhausting disputes before the family court. Often at least one of the parties is not satisfied with the result. Our notaries will advise you if both parties are in or wish to be in agreement and would like to conclude such an agreement.

Precautionary Power of Attorney and Living Will

By granting a power of attorney to a person you trust personally, you can prevent a person you do not know from being appointed as your guardian by the competent local court. The cause for this may arise if at any time, due to illness, dementia or infirmity, you are no longer able to take care of your own affairs. In these cases, you can make provisions and, for example, authorise one of your children to do what is necessary for you.
With a patient disposal you document whether, how and for how long you wish doctors and hospitals to carry out life-support measures. Our notaries are on hand with suitable regulatory proposals to document your will and to ensure that this will is respected even if you can no longer enforce it yourself.
